CAS课程给学生提供一个发展他们人格的绝佳机会，CAS致力于让学生可以
-成为一个理解自身优势和弱势，树立目标并为个人成长设计策略的反思者；
- 愿意接受新的挑战和扮演新的角色；
- 意识到自己是对他人和环境负责任的社会成员；
- 持久成为协作活动项目中的积极参与者
- 发现并享受一系列的涉及智力，体力，创造性和感情体验活动的重要性
西外国际课程中之所以引入CAS课程其终极目的是致力培养全面发展的学生，学生不仅具备书本知识且有巨大行动力。创新被定义为艺术和其他能够展现创造性思维的经历，行动是为了健康的生活方式，补充全科课程学习生活的体力付出；服务则是学生对学习有益的无偿志愿付出，对所涉及的个人，尊重他们的权利，尊严和自主权。
参加活动并不等于简单参与或重复某些机械劳动，学生该在活动中得到“延伸”，通过体力活动把自身的技巧传授给别人，将个人运动融合到团体活动中，在力所能及的范围内挑战更快，更高，更强的自身极限。
CAS的评价系统重在检验学生活动时间，项目内容。规定学生一学期有60小时的活动时间，活动内容由学校组织安排也可学生自定，如“根与芽”“公益支教”活动等。学校考量学生的标准评分罗列在学生CAS手册中。
高中学业水平课程是指普通高中语文，历史，地理，政治这四门学科，学生必须在三年内通过此四类科目的水平考试并达合格才有可能获文凭证书。
CAS课程（创造，行动。服务）：如果你相信什么，那么你不应仅仅去思考，去谈论，去书写，而是应该去行动；成为一个理解自身优势和弱势，树立目标并为个人成长设计策略的反思者。培养学生愿意接受新的挑战和扮演新的角色，促使学生意识到自己是对他人和环境负责的社会成员并持久成为协作活动项目中的积极参与者，引导学生发现并享受一系列的涉及智力，体力，创造性和感情体验活动的重要性。
活动宗旨 Mission
教育活动为学生的素养发展、个性培养、潜能开发创设了丰富的舞台与广泛的空间。鼓励学生参与各类活动，发展学生的兴趣、特长与潜能，为每一位同学明确自身发展的方向，进一步为资优生提供良好的发展空间，为世界各国的大学输入一批优秀的毕业生，奠定未来国际型人才的坚实基础。
我校的校训是：求真、树人、厚德。我们高中国际部旨在培养学生的综合素质，在当今国际化的社会，我们需要的不仅是学业优异的人才，我们更需要全面发展的人才，我们旨在建立学生的自信责任意识、培养学生的组织能力、团队协作能力、领导能力、创新能力等。国外学校对学生的综合能力发展尤其重视，我们对平时学生参与的活动采取CAS学生活动记录卡登记，学分计3学分，1学年共计50学时。CAS代表Creativity, Activity, Service, 在西方课程中CAS也是核心内容，旨在培养学生综合素质和能力的课程。CAS不仅有助于学生加深对西方文化的了解，还能让学生亲自参与节日活动的组织策划和演出，锻炼组织能力和社会生存能力，为将来的留学生活打下坚实的基础。
Educational activities provide a stage and space for students' literacy development, personalized training and potential development. Our school mottos are to seek truth, to cultivate character and to pursue goodness. Our International High School aims to cultivate students’ comprehensive quality, which attracts much attention from overseas universities. CAS stands for Creativity, Activity, and Service. CAS will not only help students deepen their understanding of Western culture, but also allow students to get personally involved in the organization, planning, and performance of festival activities. In this case, our students will achieve good organizational skills and social viability and lay a solid foundation for their future student life.

活动思路 Principle
通过开展CAS等各类教育活动，渐渐适应西方学习生活模式，使学生明确国际人才必备素养，为将来的国外学习与素质全面发展奠定基础。
Through CAS and other types of educational activities, students can gradually adapt to western learning practices which lays the foundation for future study and development abroad.
活动目的 Goals
1. 激发学生学习能动性 ，提高学习兴趣和学术能力
To stimulate students’ learning，to enhance their interest in study, and to foster their academic ability.
2. 丰富学生课外生活，德智体美全面发展 ，展现自我
To enrich extra-curricular activities for students’ all-round development.
3. 多样化的社会实践活动，为学生申请名校加分
Through these activities students become more competitive when applying to university.
活动指导 Instructions
学生必须参加集体活动，并根据自身优势和兴趣选择参加其他活动，参加活动前应做好充分准备，了解活动内容，领会活动意义，在活动过程中充分发挥自身特长，锻炼社会实践能力。活动后应及时详细记录活动内容，做好活动总结，以便在申请国外大学时能够在社会实践活动一项上加分。
Students are supposed to attend group activities compulsorily. According to individual advantages and interests, students can also choose other activities freely. This ensures that the students are well prepared before attending the activities in order to gain the full meaning of these activities. The students make full use of their own advantages and practice social skills during these activities. Specific records are recorded for use in the university application process.
